- Raised in Kansas.
- Attended Kansas public schools, K-12.
- De Soto resident since 2004
- Earned a BS in Geology from the University of Kansas.
Professional Experience
- Founded an elementary co-op focused on science and history with structured K–6 classes.
- Taught multiple subjects including Biology, Art, Government, and Economics.
- Small Business Owner
- Professional experience includes gold mining, gemstone business ownership, and work in an environmental lab.
- Served on the board of Midwest Parent Educators.
- Supported dual-credit high school enrollment through Johnson County Community College.
Personal Life
- Married 36 years, to husband, Will.
- Mother to 3 wonderful children, Nana to 5 amazing grandchildren.
- Children attended 4-year liberal arts colleges.
